Jeeezz, you ARE good Ian...way to go on that one.

Can you believe we are all friends now?

It just feels right, as we say in the Partridge Family.

holy mole-eee (no pun intended) what an interesting 24 hours at the LMA canteen!

in my neck of the woods they're aren't many heads and the farther 8/9/95 fades to grey in the rearview mirror the more i lean on this site and the people that frequent it. i realize that posters (and posers) come and go and the river just roll, roll, rolls... i'm also aware there aren't many of deadheads left (period) so from my perspective a name is just that... like others before me have stated - it's the content of the post, not the handle... orchiddoctor threw at pigpen for gods sake! dancin' brings passion, dire helped me up from some dire days, WT is, well, WT (sorry to use your reply as my sounding board) flow is a bro, arb is worldly, tigerbolt is generous, midnight sun is a musician ( a heatfelt compliment), bryanE turned me on to 6-25-78, bluedevil is a liberal, jots will scold me for me using that word ; ) mudcat gets it, robthewordsmith is just that, strat has stats, and ashesrising is all things GOGD. i'm up against the clock or i would keep listing noms faux with real hearts. i'm glad i kinda know all of you and i for one, ain't leaving this joint. hang in there folks we need one another - tomorrow is another day.

mcglone-

Good to know you're sticking around. Yours are ALWAYS among the kindest of posts, and as long as I keep coming back for more, I'll be looking forward to seeing what you have to say.

It's difficult to express how much it pleases me to know that you've gotten a lot of enjoyment from listening to the Autzen show from 1978. I was so close to the stage at the stadium that day that I could barely see the band. All in all, it was head and shoulders above any other show I ever saw as far as the weirdness factor is concerned, but that recoding here holds up so extremely well.

One very memorable moment: Bill Graham poking around on stage before the Dead got going with the first set, asking if they had everything they needed and if there was anything he could do to assist, which was met by Jerry responding with mock indignation, "Shut up, William! Shut up!"
